PHILADELPHIA-- On Friday, April 26 at noon, Local 634 will join a coalition of elected, labor, and community partners for a pro-public education press conference. The event is co-hosted by Representatives Roni Green and Elizabeth Fiedler. In addition to Local 634, partners participating include the Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO, AFT Pennsylvania, 32BJ SEIU, PFT, POWER Interfaith and Make the Road PA.
The press conference will call attention to the urgency of investing in public education in the state budget, and rejecting voucher schemes that siphon money from public schools.
